Engineering Data is the Key to Content for Medical Device Marketing and Sales Needs

Wenzel Spine is Austin's up and coming medical device company. Voted one of Austin's best places to work in 2017, their focus is minimally invasive Cervical and Lumbar Spine Technology.

In 2016 Wenzel's engineering team completely redesigned their Lumbar fusion device, the VariLift-LX. This stand-alone expandable interbody fusion device is the cornerstone of Wenzel's product line. With the new design came an opportunity for Datahouse to design the complete print and digital campaign surrounding the product launch.

Our solution was to utilize existing data sets from Wenzel’s CAD/CAM software and streamline the otherwise expensive 3D asset creation process. We used the translated 3D assets as the visual solution for all Imagery, animation and interactive deployments. Compliance and regulatory issues were solved by working directly with Wenzel’s subject matter experts and engineering team.

The result was a highly successful series of deployments that included: website, online distributor training program, trade show booth design and signage, 2 product overview animations, 4 product brochures, 3 surgical techniques and a series of white papers that were delivered on-time with little or no overages.
